Photo Gallery {A Dance to Remember}

This photo gallery captures moments of my career as a ballroom dancer. I've been dancing for nearly five years and have come a very long way since my first recital. Some of these pictures I have taken myself and some my mother (and friends) took for me. I edited all these photos into a contrast of black and white to portray the atmosphere of timeless history. I think the most challenging this about this project was limiting my photo choices. I had hundreds of photos I love and wanted to use, but finally I limited it to just enough to tell my dance story.

{The First Recital}

Rule of thirds, monochrome, and empty background are the techniques used here. In editing, I brightened the image, turned it black and white, and added contrast.

{Goodbye, 2013 Red Team}

Rule of thirds, monochrome, and movement are the techniques used here. In editing, I brightened the image, turned it black and white, lifted shadows, and added contrast. I tried to get rid of those annoying white lines around my head but everything looked dumb so I left it. (Besides, you didn't even notice it till I pointed it out ;) )
